They call it mellow yellow....
Yellow. I love the colour yellow, not quite as much as white but it does something for your mood, do you know what I mean? When I see yellow things it reminds me of spring and summer, of warmth and sunshine, it makes me smile....so yellow can't be bad can it?
So what is the meaning of yellow, I found the following information from Feng Shui and Beyond and it describes how yellow makes me feel to a tea!
The meaning of yellow is very happy, warm, stimulating, and expansive. Yellow draws people out and makes them more talkative. It helps to focus one’s attention and stimulate the intellect. Yellow also encourages hope and optimism, and is very grounding and supportive when muted. Some common properties of the color yellow include:
Social / Extroverted
Enriching
Cheerful (happiest of all colors)
Expansive
Grounding, support, stability (when muted)
Stimulating
Warmth
Abundance / Richness / Splendor
Hope / Optimism
High-spirited / Inspiring
Potency / Fertility
Freedom
Sincerity
The meaning of the color yellow is commonly associated with light and the sun. Like the sun, the color yellow is very warm, uplifting, cheerful and happy.
I've heard, yellow is going to be huge this year, so I did a little research into all things yellow and came up with the following;

Yellow rooms are are said to make people more talkative and outgoing. I love the bathroom and kitchen in these pictures.
I love the colour yellow but unfortunately I don't think I could wear it with my colouring, so this year I'll be looking out for yellow accessories to go with my usual black clothing!!! I'll be the one that looks like a bumblebee.....BTW I'm loving this Chanel bag, early birthday pressie maybe? Yeah right. TTFN ~x~

The Purity of White...
I have been looking around the blogosphere for sometime now for inspiration on interiors and design, particularly for my bedroom. If you remember I was keen on some Amy Butler fabric on my Easy like Sunday morning post and had decided to make a patchwork quilt.
Well since then I have got completely hooked on white....yes white! I have a board devoted to white on Pinterest, called The purity of white, check it out because the pins are beautiful. Anyhow, this board along with some of the following inspiration from blogs I follow, have inspired me to have a white bedroom!
This beautiful bedroom can be seen on Marley and Lockyer, along with some more stunning white inspiration, I was thinking I could substitute the pink with duck egg blue, what do you think?
And the bedlinen that Patina White features is beautiful too, I have since bought a matelasse throw and shams for my bed, but I am, keen to buy this Ofelia throw which can be found at IKEA for £20.42.
I wanted a little colour though, so have decided on duck egg blue. Laura Ashley have beautiful duck egg blue fabrics which I am coveting at present.
Nothing is finished as yet (the window in my bedroom needs installing first!) but it will definitely be these colours. So now all I have to do is find accessories to go with the colour scheme and paint some furniture, get a new window and.....wow lots to do, until then....TTFN ~x~
