I bought me a pressie...

I bought myself a little gift, it sounds exciting doesn't it? Well it is to me!

I bought myself some Mod Podge and CitraSolv cleaner and degreaser.

Now you may think 'what a strange gift to get oneself?' but no it's not, it's exciting, fabulous and I can't wait to use them.

I have been a huge fan of The Graphics Fairy for quite sometime and found some fab images that I want to incorporate in some crafts, well cushions and lavender bags to be exact.

I'll be showing some of the transfers I have done next week and a little project I've been wanting to do for some time with Mod Podge. Go get yourself a pressie! TTFN ~x~

Upcycle heaven...

Don't throw it away, upcycle it!

I love the simplicity of these pieces and lefts face it we can all get hold of the odd old CD can't we?
So I got to thinking, I could probably have a go at doing something like this myself, watch this space as I'm off next week and will be definitely trying this one...TTFN ~x~

The Craft Shed...

What does she mean by "The Craft Shed"? I hear you ask.....well for months now I've been trying to persuade my father to let me convert the shed in our garden to MY craft shed but alas to no avail.....

"Where will we put the stuff that's in the shed now?" he asks every time I mention it.

So I decided I would try to assemble some evidence to explain what I was trying to achieve, you never know this may sway him into agreeing what a fabulous idea it would be to transform a generally bog standard shed into a craft haven for myself, somewhere to hide and drift off into my own little craft world, my very own utopia....oops sorry I was drifting off for a moment!

I was surfing around and came across a new blog Daily Suze, and she had done any article on how they were building a shed, she had some fab photos and this one caught my eye.  I figured I could show it my dad so he could see my vision;

I love the way both doors can open and let in the light, we have double doors on our shed, yay! I love the colour of the shed, that off white is lovely but to be honest I was thinking of a pale sage green and I love the window that houses the desk below it, our shed has one like this too.

The only thing I feel it needs is a little more storage for my fabric stash, card stock and shelving for my button collection, it would also need a wider desk so I could have my sewing machine up all the time.

As you may be aware I am a huge advocate of Pinterest and I have a board called The Craft Shed, this is where I stash ideas for my shed, storage and decor ideas.

So what do you think, do you think my dad will go for the idea? I have to say I do have a habit of getting round my dad, eventually.....I'll keep you posted! TTFN ~x~

A Wreath to Remember ...

Well now that I've finished my cushion, I need something else to get my teeth into.

I've been pinning away on Pinterest and one of my boards is called A Wreath to Remember, basically it has all the wreaths I find pinned to it, my inspiration! I'm going on about it I know, but I'm building up to my next project.

One of my colleagues at work, Sam, has been making birch wreaths for a few years now and we had a discussion a while back about collaborating and using her wreaths for something....so she makes the wreath and I'll decorate it.  I bought a wreath from Sam last week and I have been busy making flowers and leaves to adorn it.....I'm upcycling too! Using an old pair of white linen maternity trousers......lets just say it is highly unlikely I'll need them again, lol.

Anyway, I'll post a picture when its finished rather than show you a part way through piccie! TTFN ~x~

My box full of magic...

Wow....Its been a while hasn't it? Well I guess a few days anyway... I've been pretty busy with work and the children so haven't had a chance to post anything.

I was sorting through some fabrics and all my stash and thought I'd show you my beloved craft box, its full of paints, ribbons, paper stock, ooh so much I just love it! My pal Sally over at Knit Sally Knit bought a king size duvet set at a charity shop last week, so I was busy cutting that up yesterday, its has a patchwork effect so I cut up all the different squares so I can actually make them into a patchwork item, you can see them in my craft box below, they are floral with a green and white spot background and stripes;

On Monday, I took delivery of the woven ribbons I ordered.  I found them slightly cheaper on Holland Fabric House, they have allsorts of haberdashery and fabrics, check it out!

I could probably do with sorting out my craft box, putting things into storage boxes etc.....watch this space the next time you see my box of magic, it WILL be tidy!!! TTFN ~x~
